Missouri Tigers sophomore wideout/return specialist Jeremy Maclin was named a first-team selection on The Associated Press All-America team. This marks his second consecutive first-team AP selection.

Maclin leads major-college football in all-purpose yards with 203.54 a game — just over 20 yards more than second-place Jahvid Best of California. Maclin has 95 catches for 1,221 yards and has scored 15 touchdowns.

With stats like that, there’s a lot of talk about Jeremy heading to the NFL. He’s been pretty quiet on the topic the past few weeks (which usually means they’re gone). As for the premise that he would leave if projected as a first-round pick, Maclin said, “There’s a lot more you’ve got to factor into it.”

Jeremy Maclin of the Missouri Tigers was named Big 12 Special Teams Player of the week. Here’s what ESPN had to say about his performance.

Missouri WR/KR Jeremy Maclin: He became the second player in Missouri history to record two career kickoff returns for a touchdown with his second quarter 99-yard return against Illinois. He had 201 return yards in the game, including 145 yards on three kickoff returns and 56 yards on four punt returns. Maclin now has four combined kick/punt return TDs in two years in college, the most in school history. He finished with 234 all-purpose yards, including four receptions for 31 yards.

Congratulations Jeremy!
