Jeremy Maclin is injured with groin strain after Sunday’s mind-blowing win over the Bucs. The incident happened just after the final whistle had been blown by the referee. Though it is nothing serious but he will definitely take some time to recover and get ready for the next match. Actually Jeremy was quite slow to come out with it.
When asked by the reporters about the injury, Jeremy said with a smile on his face that the injury is not severe and he is okay. When Jeremy was asked whether he had injured himself while playing, he replied that it was not him but a guy who jumped on his top and also hit him.
One of the reporters asked whether he has given that player high time or not, Jeremy smilingly said that it was Nnamdi and he had already given him a hard time.
On Sunday, the Eagles won the game for the first time and it was none other than Jeremy who caught the winning touchdown pass against the Buccaneers on the final round of the match and was attacked by Nnamdi from the back. Nnamidi jumped on him to ceebrate the winning but unfortunately, he was hurt. Nnamidi awkwardly put his weight on him which affected the groin.
On the other hand, Andy Reid said that Maclin will surely play the Thursday’s match against the Bengals. His presence is must for the team. Maclin is recovering fast and is expected to play the match on Thursday.
Before starting a professional football career, Maclin used to play college football and was also a two-time All American kick runner. It was in 2009, when he was selected in the first round of 2009 NFL Draft. On 3rd August, 2011, Maclin’s name was placed on the illness list but Andy Reid was hopeful about his comeback and on August 17 he was held out of the camp due to lymphoma scare. He was going through a bad phase of his life.
