Jeremy Maclin, the two-time All-American, announced his widely expected decision to turn pro last Friday — but not before breaking down in tears at the microphone before a crowd of media, teammates and coaches. Over the past two years, Maclin has been a threat on all aspects to the offense and special teams. He can run the ball, catch the ball and return punts/kicks. He has the speed and ability to succeed on the next level.
Missouri Tigers fans will be sad to see him go, but for Maclin, heading to the NFL is in his best interest. Jeremy will most likely be a first round pick, which means a couple million dollars in guaranteed money. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound sophomore caught 102 passes for Missouri this season while leading the nation with 2,833 all-purpose yards.
Here’s a video of his announcement.
